Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and MetaGame ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the MetaGame mobile app (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use the App. By using it you confirm that you are.

2. What MetaGame is — and what it is not

MetaGame is a mental-game companion for poker players: it provides structured warm-up and cooldown routines, in-session tools, session tracking, reflection, and an AI coach focused on mental game and mindset.

MetaGame is not, and does not provide:

• Medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional mental-health care. If you are struggling, please seek help from a qualified professional.
• Financial, investment, or gambling advice. Nothing in the App is a recommendation to gamble, or advice on how to bet or manage money.
• A poker strategy trainer or a gambling service. The App does not facilitate gambling or handle wagers.

3. Responsible play

Poker involves financial risk. Please play within your means. If you are worried about your gambling, free confidential support is available in the UK from GamCare and BeGambleAware.

4. The AI coach

The AI coach generates responses using automated (large language model) technology provided by a third party. Its responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and are provided for reflection only — not as professional, medical, financial, or gambling advice. Use your own judgement, and do not rely on it for decisions that matter. See our Privacy Policy for how coach conversations are processed.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your data (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (your notes, voice recordings, reflections, and session data — "Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the App to you (including syncing it across your devices and processing coach messages as described in the Privacy Policy). We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it for advertising.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the App unlawfully; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the App or our systems; upload unlawful or infringing content; or use the App to harass or harm others.

8. Availability and changes

The App is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue the App or parts of it. We may update these Terms; if changes are significant we will notify you in the App or update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any outcome (poker results, emotional state, or otherwise) will be achieved.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, gambling losses, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or £50. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.

13. Apple App Store — additional terms

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, the following apply and, in case of conflict with the rest of these Terms, prevail for the App Store version:

• These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Your licence to use the App is a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-parties list.
